Attention Virginia Art Therapists!

 The deadline for our Juried Art Exhibition HAS BEEN EXTENDED!

The Virginia Art Therapy Association is sponsoring a juried art exhibit  focusing on  art therapists’ responses to the therapeutic relationship and/or transference and countertransference experiences.  We encourage you to share your reflections and artistic skills with your community.

Exhibition Dates: November 22, 2013 – January 19, 2014
Opening Reception: Friday, November, 22, 2013,
7:00pm – 10:00pm Artworks, Richmond, VA
Deadline for Submissions: July 26th, 2013
Notification of Selected Artworks: November 1, 2013
Delivery Dates: Saturday, November 16, 2013 (Local regional site and time: TBD) or Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Artworks, Richmond, VA)
Submission Fees: $6 per entry
(no limit to number of entries)

ATR CECs: 10 CECs for participation in Juried Art Show (Certificates of participation to document ATR CECs)
Eligibility: VATA MEMBERS
Awards: Monetary Awards for “Best in Show” (number of places determined by number of entries)
Juror: Brad Thomas Birchett, Professional Artist, Assistant Professor and Advisor: Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, and Emeritus Artist Member: 1708 Gallery, Richmond, VA
