Representatives for VATA

Meet the representatives to the board.  These positions act as liaisons from the membership to the board and information officers to the public.   VATA is always seeking more student involvement and representatives from art therapy schools to inform students of art therapy of opportunities in the field.   Don’t see your school represented?  Then join VATA and represent your school.  Send an email to vaarttherapy@gmail.com.  Art you social media savvy?  VATA is interested  in art therapists and student to blog and post articles.  See contact information for Carol below to sign up to blog and write.

Member Representative

Seth Yavit, MS-AT

Seth is a bilingual (Spanish and English) creative art therapist and counselor with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. He has years of experience with varying populations in public schools, private schools, and developmental centers.   He is serving as the member representative to the board.

Student RepresentativeKathleen Seow , MAAT Candidate
St. Mary-of-the-Woods College
Kathleen is pursuing a Masters Professional Counseling, MPC along with a Masters of Art Therapy, MAAT. In January she will be in internships at Gateway Homes and The Creative Arts Space.  She is VATA’s student representative on the Governing Body and will act as a liaison with students of art therapy.
Social Media Representative
Carol Olson
ATR-BC, LPC, CSACCarol is the Owner of The Creative Arts Space located in Richmond, Va. Her focus is on art therapy, anti-violence work and activism. She is also a painter and knitter.  She has returned to VATA to help in promoting our services through various social media and blogging.  If you area an art therapist or student and would like to contribute to the blog, please contact Carol at olson.carolann@gmail.com.
