It’s Hip to be BOARD!

Admit it! You’ve been racking your brain trying to think of ways to become more involved in your beloved art therapy community. You have way too much time on your hands, and you figure, since you already have more than enough time to create your own art and relax with your family and friends, you might as well contribute to your professional community in the leftover hours!

Now, back to reality.  As art therapists, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, teachers, clinicians, and generally hard-working, passionate people, the VATA Board knows that NONE of our members have very much free time! Despite this challenge, we urge you to consider our invitation to nominate yourself or a respected art therapist colleague to a VATA Board position! We are in search of new faces, ideas, energy, and skills to accentuate our enthusiastic team.

As a VATA member, you already have access to a variety of networking opportunities, discounted workshops, and art making opportunities around the state. As a VATA Board Member, you would be instrumental in identifying and selecting presenters for yearly workshops and conferences, communicating with and building relationships with local organizations and charities, broadening our social and professional networks, and most importantly, sharing your voice and your vision for the Virginia Art Therapy Association and the field of art therapy as a whole.

Please visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5DQ6MGT to nominate yourself or a respected art therapy colleague for an open Board position today! Know that you’ll be joining a lively group of Art Therapists who are dedicated to our organization and to moving our profession forward year after year!
