Art Therapy and Trauma

The Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault (RCASA) is a Non-Profit Agency in Frederickburg, Virginia.  They are the only agency in central Virginia that specializes in the treatment of survivors of sexually violent crimes.  They serve survivors and their families, as well as work to educate the community and prevent sexually violent crimes. RCASA offers Art Therapy Services, promoting the use of Art Therapy and  leading the way for many Art Therapists who want to work with survivors and their families. Recently RCASA wrote a blog, aimed at educating survivors, on Trauma and Art Therapy. We here at VATA wanted to share it will you all.

If you are interested in more information from RCASA follow their blog and/or follow them on twitter. If you are in Fredericksburg or the surrounding counties that RCASA serves you may be interested to know that RCASA recently moved, see below for details.
